I want to start by telling you that in our society in North America we pay a higher premium to work with and get advice from people that we perceive as EXPERTS. This is a fact to most people.

People seek out and pay premium dollars to people who they perceive to be the expert. Here is the kicker. There is no board that certifies and appoints experts. Many business people say that they are not experts. This is not true when you really think about it.

No matter what business they are in they, in most cases have more knowledge about that business area than their customer so they really are the experts. They wouldn’t have called your company if they didn’t think you were good at what you do.

Business people are shy to declare themselves the expert. They are afraid to play bigger because they think it's not their time yet. They're waiting for something to happen - a certification, a degree, an appointment from the gods in their industry, or a diploma to certify Expert hood from their respected peers.

Expert status just doesn’t happen this way and so many business people have not figured this out. The only one who really has the capacity to declare yourself the expert is you. Do it now and don’t wait one more second.

Experts are perceived to naturally have more credibility and  respect and will get media attention. This can make marketing easier and less expensive and will also attract a less price resistant customer. Don’t wait for someone to invite you into the expert club. Appoint yourself now by walking past all the people to the front of the room.

The silver bullet and fastest way to becoming the expert is for you to ‘Write a book’. Once you have written this book you instantly have your expert status and leapfrog yourself to the front of the room. People will look at you differently and have more respect for you. It almost sounds a little crazy and doesn’t even make sense but it is the way in North America that once you have written a book you are now held in a higher status.

Like it or not, when you become the author of a book, you also become a celebrity. You get all the natural benefits that go with celebrity status. Your world changes from chasing a dollar to dollars chasing you if you promote your book properly.

You don’t have to question why, you just have to welcome all the opportunities that come along with your newfound fame. It is something to be enjoyed and to utilize for the good of all. Once you have this status you will enjoy a road less travelled.

You were the ones that were with me about being an expert, credibility, some fame, a lot more money but then went sideways when I said to get this requires writing a book.

This is the part were some people are lost because they say they can’t write a book. Some have even tried for many years and still have not been able to do it. Others will say I just don’t have anything to write about. I don’t want to seem flippant here but if you are breathing right now you have what it takes to write a book.

If you can talk conversational English I assure you can write a book and don’t let anyone tell you anything different. Not only can you write a book, you can with the right information, write it very quickly and make it so people almost can’t put your book down until it is finished.

Writing a book is doable for most people they just need the right format to write with and success is assured. In North America approximately 81% of our population want to write some sort of book but they just don’t know how. With the right information and structure there are some novice writers able to write a book of 90 pages or better in only several days and this is on their first try.

Don’t reinvent the wheel on how to write your own book, as there is many people out there that can help you quickly and inexpensively get the job done. If you don’t write a book after hearing all these benefits it is only because you don’t want to and not because you can’t as there is enough help out there for anyone to quickly become a published author and acquire all the benefits from it. There are no excuses that can’t be quickly overcome. I must repeat this last statement it is so important. There are no excuses for you not writing your own book that can’t be quickly overcome. It is much easier than you think with the proper help and direction.

The new leads that you will generate for your business will knock you over and you will wonder why you struggled so hard for so many years going after business. You will be let into circles of people you had not had access to before and it will benefit you immensely.

One very important point about writing a book that I just had to save as the last one. It is the icing on the cake and probably will be the biggest long-term benefit you will have. Once you have a published book your confidence will soar. When people come to you as the expert your confidence level has no choice but to continue to grow in the right direction.
