The One and Only True Secret to Success
Some will be charging large amounts of money and others will charge you a nominal amount. The amount you are charged is really irrelevant to any price value structure because any amount is according to what you feel its worth.
Now this might be a bit of a convoluted way to getting to the one and only secret you will need for success but it does show us it is all in the journey and what you want to do with the information you receive that really counts for anything.
A couple of years ago I went to a weekend seminar of a fairly renowned self help Guru down in San Diego. I want to tell you this story for a couple of reasons.
- The price for the two day seminar was I think about $2,500.00 plus of course our travel.
- It was sold as the weekend that would reprogram us for success and we were assured through testimonials and guarantees that this was the answer to eliminating any further blocks to success and after the weekend we would be successful in business and relationships from that weekend forward for forever more.
Now I had read the Guru’s book and liked it although there was nothing new in it. I like quantum physics and that is what this guy is all about. I also wanted to see the people that would go to a weekend like this and see what they truly got out of the weekend.
The seminar was held in the Guru’s mansion which I thought would be fun. For me this seminar was just more positive reinforcement of Universal; Laws and principles for success. The fact I was relatively successful already meant the weekend was not a make it or break it weekend for me.
What was interesting was one fellow in particular that was coming to this weekend to stop his down hill slide toward economic doom he was currently facing. This fellow had inherited a rather large amount of money and had been living the good life for several years but was literally at the end of his money at this seminar.
He was actually in dire financial circumstances and had been trying several business ventures to stop the possibility of going broke and running out of money when he saw this Guru’s magnificent sales letter.
The sales letter was for the weekend seminar costing $2,500.00 that would quite literally be cloning you for success. Yes the words cloning for success was in the sales letter.
Now a couple of questions should be asked and answered here.
- If you followed the information in this seminar would you be successful?
Answer: Yes
- Was the seminar worth $2,500.00 for the weekend?
Answer: Prices are arbitrary at best. If someone uses the information and doubles or triples their income in the next year it would be good value at almost any price.
- Did the fellow that went to the seminar as a last ditch effort get what he wanted?
Answer: Only he can answer that question
This brings me to the one and only true secret to success and that is:
‘Only You Hold the Key to Your True Success’.
Any time you read a sales letter that guarantees success after a weekend seminar be careful of the mindset you go into the training with. The seminar leaders can not guarantee that you will use any of the information they give you so consequently they can’t guarantee your success. You are the only one who can guarantee you will take that information and make it work.
So if you go to a weekend seminar and put your success power into the hands of the seminar leader you will most definitely not achieve much success.
On the other hand if you are committed, have desire and take action there is information available to us all to have unparalleled success in any endeavor we so choose. It is up to us plain and simple and we have many people that will help us but it is always our journey and our journey alone. Remember ‘What Ever You Focus On Grows” Focus on your success because it is you who has the power and there will be no other outcome.
