Right Action
Of course the keyword in the title is action and I do believe almost any action is better than no action at all because you will always at least be learning something if you’re taking action. Action will be a result of the thoughts you’re thinking. I mean you won’t be thinking about scratching your head and then scratch your stomach.
Thoughts are the seeds to action. If you choose to take a job at a fast food restaurant in all likelihood you will make minimum wage. If you choose to be a doctor you will likely make an above average income. Think of being a truck driver and you will likely make a mediocre living.
This is not rocket science in fact it is so simple it might be the reason most people miss it and live mediocre lives. Certain actions will bring you better results than other actions when we are talking about time and money.
So some actions will make you rich and some actions will keep you poor. Remember that all actions are preceded by your thoughts. You cannot do anything without first having a thought about it.
Can you imagine if it was not this way where you had to have a thought first? Your life would be a nightmare. All a sudden you would wake up one morning and be a garbage man and not know why. The next day you would wake up in Ethiopia and not know how you got there. Here’s your new spouse.
I was reading on a blog recently about the current situation in the business and life coaching arena that many coaches use a marketing system where they first get you in their marketing funnel by offering a free or low cost CD. Shortly there after they will call you to up sell you into their coaching programs that can be anywhere from $2,500.00 to $20,000.00. Heck I have even been pitched for the $75,000.00 coaching programs..
The sales pitch can be very persuasive and they might even start name dropping to add credibility but do you realize you may be talking to a starving 21 year old kid on the phone pretending to be a 45 year old who doesn’t “need” the money?
If you are conned…I mean…persuaded into spending your money with them guess what is likely to happen next?
Your expert coach is either another starving 21 year old with no knowledge of your business or any business for that matter who is reading from a manual written by a ghostwriter who is not an expert either.
Not only that but these people (coaches) are paid pennies on the dollar by the coaching company for information you could have gotten free on the internet.
Now the point of all this is not to make a moral judgment on how people do business but rather to show the point about how different thoughts will create different action and different actions all create the different outcomes to your life.
It doesn’t have to be a deep thought or even an intelligent thought it only has to be a thought that will create the life of your dreams. You will notice the example of a 21 year broke kid doing a job you may be very well be paying $500.00 per hour for through a coaching program. The broke kid is doing a $500.00 per hour job and maybe making $20.00 per hour and the owner of the coaching business is making the rest.
What would happen if the broke kid put in a little extra time each week to learn how to do what he was already doing but do it for himself rather than his employer? All it would take is a little bit of change in perspective and a little bit of learning and his life would change in miraculous ways
Many people take action for the sake of taking action and aren’t even conscious of the actions they are taking. Any action is good action but not every action will bring in as much money as the other action. Not all actions are created equal. Some actions you get the big bucks for and some you get almost nothing.
The value of the actions are not tied to how smart, honest or even how hard you work. They are only related to how much value you can give to someone else. There are many ways to look at your business with a different perspective. These different perspectives could bring new actions and a much more prosperous life.
Take some time to stand back and check your actions because remember What You Focus On Grows.
