5 Secrets To Choosing The Best Information Products For Your Business
I have spent a king’s ransom on information products including seminars and books especially over the last several years. I use to just buy books because I thought why should I pay $2,000.00 for a weekend seminar that doesn’t have any more information in it than in the books I was reading. Of coarse that was a belief I had and my mindset at the time.
What a looser EH? We can all be looser once in a while as long as we learn from it. By the way did the EH give away my nationality? I read anywhere from 1 to 5 books a weeks and some I get a lot of great info from and some very little. The point is I always get something out of everything I read even if it is just another perspective or point of view.
Dan Kennedy Copywriter extraordinaire has a banner that he hangs at his seminars that I just love. It says; “Rich people have big libraries and poor people have big screen TV’s. I have an enormous library of books, CD’s and tapes which helps me support my wife’s habit of watching the big screen TV.
Dan Kennedy also said when he was a salesman that if he went into an executive’s office and he had a big library he knew he had a sale. I mean think about it if the executive puts that much time and money into himself and his business he is a good prospect to buy from you if you have something of value for him or his business.
So when it comes to you the business person asking the question about what info products should I buy here are 5 secrets to choosing the best:
1. Choose products based on how much value you are getting. A higher return for your money is better than how much does it cost. Rich people think return on investment poor people think how much does it cost.
2. Is this product directly related to what I am doing right now? All products help but at the wrong time they can take you way of coarse. If you are working on copywriting right now an information product on how to do futures trading may overwhelm you and take you way off the mark.
3. Go with names you trust and the info products with good guarantees. Try it and if it is not what you are looking for send it back.
4. Only buy something you are going to use immediately. If it is something that you need in a few months wait a few months to buy it otherwise the longer it sits on your shelf the less likely it is for you to ever use it.
5. Buy info products in the best learning format for you. Some of us like CD’s others like eBooks, published books and even seminars.
Having said all the above I also have another couple of thoughts for you to consider.
1. Buy what you feel comfortable buying. If you think it is too much money right now listen to your gut. My lawyer said to me many years ago that he had seen many a real estate developer who could not come up with the last $1,000.00 on a 10 million dollar deal loose it all.
2. Build your faith. If you truly have the desire to succeed in a business the information is always available to you whether it’s an info product, mentor, coach or what ever. The only ingredient you need is the faith and desire to make it work because ‘What Ever You Focus On Grows’
