Small Business Marketing, How To Double Your Profits

Monday July 23, 2007 by Bob Burnham

Most small business owners don’t focus enough on marketing and struggle to make a profit. Many small business owners put 90% of their time into the day to day operations and only 10% of their time into marketing.

This can be a very costly and even risky mistake to run your business like this. You can delegate most all of the day to day business tasks to employees or subs leaving you with more time to develop a more consistent results producing marketing plan.

Small Business Marketing, 3 Secrets To Wealth

Monday June 25, 2007 by Bob Burnham

Marketing your small business should be the task you spend most of your time on. Most small business owners spend most of their time on activities that could easily by given to others and very little time on the most important activity which is marketing their small business.

Following are 3 secrets to use to make sure you are spending your time where it will bring the best results for your business.

    1. Make sure that what you are doing is not a $25.00 per hour job that can be done by someone else because if you are you will be doomed to a financial life of making only $25.00 per hour.

A Small Business Owners Biggest Sin

Monday February 12, 2007 by Bob Burnham

Consider this! 95% of all new businesses go broke within 5 years and another 80% of those still left standing go under in the following 5 years. Now depending on how you look at life it could be a curse or a blessing if it happens to you.

You see once you go broke it makes you a little more focused on how you’re going to buy your next meal. Sad that it takes this kind of wakeup call to get our attention but at least after a bankruptcy we are more open to learning a new way of doing business I hope.

Multiple Streams Of Income Is A Myth

Friday January 12, 2007 by Bob Burnham

You’ve read the sales letters, heard the audio sales pitches, and seen the books pushing the idea of multiple streams of income. Gurus of information marketing maintain that you can become wealthy when you divide your efforts and capital into multiple areas. It may sound good at first. After all, don’t all of the financial experts recommend diversification of your portfolio? That’s pretty much the same concept, right? Wrong.

Many of these “get rich quick” programs recommend investing in real estate, stocks, and you own Internet company in order to “maximize” your earning potential. A diversified retirement plan is one thing, but building three separate businesses – and succeeding at all of them – is something else entirely.

10 Reasons to Be a Business Owner

Thursday January 4, 2007 by Bob Burnham

Most people look at me funny when I tell them I haven’t had a job in over thirty years. I understand; who wouldn’t think thirty years is way too long for unemployment? Me, that’s who. Me and every successful business owner on the planet.

In fact, I really only had one job in my life, and that was for about one year during my teens. I realized early on that my job, and any job for that matter, was not going to get me where I wanted to go. A job could never give me the income, freedom, and control over my own life that I knew I couldn’t live without.

    The Secret To Wealth

Friday December 22, 2006 by Bob Burnham

Although I don’t watch a lot of TV I did get caught up in a new show in Canada called Underdogs. The premise of the show is to help consumers who feel; they have been wronged get satisfaction by cameras rolling and TV host going to the vendor and rectifying the problem.

Sort of reminds me of an old joke that said you know your having a bad day when someone calling on you says “this is 60 Minutes.” There were 3 consumer stories on this hour long show I have to tell you I was riveted from a human consciousness standpoint.
