Although I don’t watch a lot of TV I did get caught up in a new show in Canada called Underdogs. The premise of the show is to help consumers who feel; they have been wronged get satisfaction by cameras rolling and TV host going to the vendor and rectifying the problem.

Sort of reminds me of an old joke that said you know your having a bad day when someone calling on you says “this is 60 Minutes.” There were 3 consumer stories on this hour long show I have to tell you I was riveted from a human consciousness standpoint.

I have spent a king’s ransom on information products including seminars and books especially over the last several years. I use to just buy books because I thought why should I pay $2,000.00 for a weekend seminar that doesn’t have any more information in it than in the books I was reading. Of coarse that was a belief I had and my mindset at the time.

There are many people who want to make their living on the internet. It is millions actually and growing each day. It is a great lifestyle with limitless possibilities. The information age and the internet will be an exponentially growing industry for decades to come.

Intelligent business owners are in the top 5% of their markets because they think different than the rest of the stupid and broke business owners. Most of the really intelligent business people I know have a different perception when it comes to taxes as well.

In Canada we have a tax called the GST (Goods & Services Tax). It is currently a 6% tax that is paid for most purchases of goods and services. On a $40,000.00 car or $50,000.00 home renovation it can add up to a fair chunk of change.

It is a sad fact that 95 % all business will not be in business in five years from their start date. It is sad because it is the stories behind the failures such as bankruptcies and marital breakdowns that we don’t hear about that make this unnecessary tragedy even worse.

This reminds me of a story of the small fly banging his head up against the clear glass window searching for freedom until the fly finally dies of exhaustion. Meanwhile had the fly moved over 5 inches to the open doorway he could have had freedom.
